Have some drinks with friends and family by your own campfire watching the sunset in a glorious unaltered orange and red glory makes for a wonderful memory to share with your loved ones.
Here at Norfolk Coast B&B Cottages & Camping we want you to have the best camping experience possible with a back to basics ideology, the way that camping should be!
Our North Norfolk campsite is perfectly placed to explore the unspoilt, rolling countryside of the Norfolk coast with miles of scenic trails and footpaths on our doorstep. The traditional market town of Burnham Market is also within a short 3 minute drive or lovely scenic 18 minute walk along the open farm land where you can visit a fantastic range of pubs, restaurants, butchers, grocers and all the tradition of a small historical market town.
For those looking for a little more history and culture the south east end of the campsite looks on towards St. Margaret Church a Grade I listed building built in the 11th century that retains many of it's medieval architectural elements including the original oddly large stone font and is one of 129 surviving round-tower churches in Norfolk! Alongside our campsite is the River Burn, a great river that runs through Union Mills the Grade II listed combined tower mill and watermill originally built in 1737.
This wild location also offers opportunities to see all sorts of wildlife as they like to wander the marshes you can catch sights of grazing cows, small muntjac deer, swans gracefully swimming down the streams and hawks flying high above the open fields looking for it's next target. Our North Norfolk campsite is also just a short walk from Scolt Head Island National Nature Reserve, a 700 hectare island where you can explore the wild creeks of the south shore, walk the extensive sands of the north shore, swim in the secret warm pools of the creek and spot the incredible variety of birds such as nesting colonies that travel here internationally including breeding Sandwich and Little terns. While this is the type of wildlife you can see locally there is far more out the to experience if you travel a little further. There are plenty of places to go on seal boat trips, natural parks and RSPB Titchwell on the Titchwell Marsh, home to diverse habitats.
North Norfolk has some very beautiful walks along the coastal path that take you towards and along the coast exposing you to all of it's natural beauty.
