Covid-19 Precautions

03/12/21 Omicron variant: changes to restrictions

New measures have been put in place as a precaution because cases of a variant of concern have been found in the UK. There are changes to the rules in England on self-isolation, testing after international travel, and face coverings, which apply from 4:00am on Tuesday 30 November.

Customers and staff are legally required to wear face coverings indoors in shops and on public transport services.

This includes:

  • Shops and close contact services (such as hairdressers and beauty therapists), including those within another type of business or facility
  • Shops and communal areas in shopping centres
  • Public transport services (such as buses, trains and trams) and transport services open to the public (such as indoor areas of private hire coaches, open-top bus tours and leisure boats)
  • Transport hubs (such as airports; maritime ports; rail, bus and coach stations), including any businesses located within a transport hub (except hospitality venues like cafes and bars)

This guidance will be updated shortly to include more information on these changes.

19/07/21 COVID-19 Update

If you develop COVID-19 symptoms, self-isolate immediately and get a PCR test, even if your symptoms are mild. You should self-isolate at home while you book the test and wait for the results. You must self-isolate if you test positive. Your isolation period includes the day your symptoms started (or the day your test was taken if you do not have symptoms), and the next 10 full days. This is the law.

The most important symptoms of COVID-19 are the recent onset of any of the following:

  • a new continuous cough
  • a high temperature
  • a loss of, or change in, your normal sense of taste or smell (anosmia)

For most people, COVID-19 will be a mild illness. However, if you have any of the symptoms above, even if your symptoms are mild, stay at home and arrange to have a test.

You must also self-isolate if you are told to do so by NHS Test and Trace, for example, if you have come into contact with someone who has tested positive. This remains the law, regardless of your vaccination status.

Although most legal restrictions have been lifted at step 4, and many people have been vaccinated, it is still possible to catch and spread COVID-19, even if you are fully vaccinated, and we are still in the third wave of this pandemic in the UK.

Most legal restrictions to control COVID-19 have been lifted at step 4. This means that:

You do not need to stay 2 metres apart from people you do not live with. There are also no limits on the number of people you can meet.
However, in order to minimise risk at a time of high prevalence, you should limit the close contact you have with those you do not usually live with, and increase close contact gradually. This includes minimising the number, proximity, and duration of social contacts.

The requirement to wear face coverings in law has been lifted. However, the Government expects and recommends that people wear face coverings in crowded areas such as public transport.

Cancellations due to self-isolation

If you need to self-isolate and are within your cancellation period we will arrange this for you as soon as possible. If your booking falls outside of your cancellation period we will instead offer you a "credit note" to be used at any time of the year to re-book your stay with no extra charge added. Simply get in contact with a member of staff to have this arranged for you.

TOILET/SHOWER BLOCK

This area is to be used as only a toilet block; no washing, no cleaning teeth, no hairdryers, no shaving.

Hazard tape marks high-risk areas, if touched ensure hands are washed for 20 seconds after you have touched any of these areas. DO NOT TOUCH YOUR FACE BEFORE YOUR CLEAN YOUR HANDS.

Please queue and do not have more than 3 males and 3 females in the toilet block any one time. Please also wear a mask when entering the toilet block.

When you have left the toilet block, please use the alcohol gel to once more clean your hands.

WASH YOUR HANDS

One of the main ways in which we can all limit the risk which Covid19 presents is to wash our hands frequently. Please see this NHS video for how to do this properly. With this in mind we have added extra water taps on the camping paddock and installed a hand gel dispenser at the entrance of the toilet/shower block. Please use alcohol gel before you enter and after you leave.

Please use the NHS COVID-19 app. This will help businesses meet the legal requirement to record the contact details of customers, visitors, and staff on their premises. We will be displaying signs in key areas to make it easier for our guests to log in and register. This will allow NHS Test and Trace to contact customers with public health advice should there be a COVID-19 outbreak.

SHOWERS

We are advised that the risk of covid19 is greater in hot, steamy conditions, it is for this reason that we ask you to limit your showers and to leave the door open after use to aid ventilation. Please use the disinfectant detergent provided before and after you use the shower and use the hand gel when you leave.

PERSONAL HYGIENE

We ask you not to brush your teeth or use a hairdryer in the toilet block as covid19 is an airborne spread. Do not wash in the shower block for the same reasons, take a bucket of hot water back to your site and wash there (water the trees with the waste water).

CHILDREN

We emphasise that the best way to limit the risk of COVID-19 is to wash our hands and parents must ensure that children do comply with this guidance.

Please note we do not allow unaccompanied children to use the showers. If they want to wash the sand off their feet please use the outside shower/ dog washing area. If you do not know where this is please ask.

CLEANING PROCEDURE

The toilet/shower block and hot water area are cleaned a minimum of three times a day, with all high touch areas cleaned with a disinfectant detergent spray. There are sprays containing disinfectant detergent in all areas for you to use before and after you use the facilities.
