Come and enjoy a long weekend on the Norfolk coast with us in one of our self catering cottages that make a perfect hideaway on the edge of Heacham, near the seaside town of Hunstanton. They have each been lovingly restored to capture that old world dairy farmhouse charm with rustic original features such as the natural chalk wall in the kitchen archway. With all of our cottages we offer cosy but spacious two-storey accommodation with a full kitchen, dining area, lounge, two bedrooms and bathroom. We also provide facilities such as a washing machine, tumble dryer, fridge, large range cooker and more. It has a large windows at each end of the bottom floor with tall windows by the original barn front door and bay door windows at the back allowing lots of natural light to come in. In each of the bedrooms is a luxurious double bed and original wooden beam running alongside parallel. Each cottage has an outside seating area with options of BBQ and/or fire pits also available for your enjoyment! These self catering holiday cottages offer a prime location on the beachfront of England in a true traditional farm cottage, surrounded by fields of rural countryside and a fabulous unspoilt beach.
The campsite is itself nestled just behind the coastal path and therefore shields the view of the static caravan sites to the north of our location and allows us to look out towards the south of open farmland. We are lucky that the large majority of this land is the Wild Ken Hill estate, which is a rewilding project focusing on returning 1500 acres of Norfolk land back to nature letting it become wild. The project will also be re-introducing populations of wild animals to the land some of which will include beavers, cattle, wild boar and encouraging birdlife such as kites, barn owls and more. The rewilding projects include the reworking of freshwater marshes to encourage bird life from local RSPB Snettisham to populate the autumn wetlands found along the coastal path.
Recent work from Natural England will allow the coastal path from our campsite to walk around the wash to XXXX where you can experience a lovely seaside town the with all the joys and splendour of Victorian architecture full of interesting places to see with a host of pubs and stalls.
Mid Week Break
Our North Norfolk campsite is located just a short walk from Burnham Market a great Norfolk market town with fantastic ranges of pubs, restaurants, butchers, groceries and all the tradition of a small historical market town. The campsite itself is located in Burnham Norton bordering on Burnham Overly which is an area dating back to 1790 of a traditional watermill and homestead now managed by The National Trust with a tranquil village stream going through the centre consisting of just 8 historical residential buildings.
the campsite is a 5 acre site which looks out over the water marsh with a stream running to one side. To its west you look out to the historical windmill and to the south east you look towards the St Margaret Church built in the 11th century. Its wild location attracts all sorts of wildlife including deer, birds, swans and hawks, and being just a short walk from Scolt Head Island National Nature Reserve which is a mecca for bird watchers and enthusiasts. Supporting important numbers of breeding Sandwich and Little terns.
The site offers many options for glamping as well as camping from hikers, families, motorhomes and camper vans. It's very short 2 minute walk onto the coastal path which takes you around North Norfolk just 30 minutes away and takes you to a secluded beach which is only accessible when the tide is out by wading across the creeks.
